Paul Weller returns to Lincoln this weekend, as part of the TKMaxx Live at Lincoln Castle concerts programme.
Tickets for the legendary singer-songwriters much anticipated return have understandably sold out quickly, following on from previously sold-out gigs at The Engine Shed in Lincoln back in 2024, as well as The Lincolnshire Showground in 2022.
It’s nearly fifty years since Weller’s first band, The Jam, released their debut single, ‘In the City,’ after their introductory tour with The Clash in 1977. Paul was just eighteen years old at the time and the band were immediately successful and broadly popular, helping to drive the mod revival of the late seventies and early eighties.

Weller’s lyrics were known for being deeply rooted in working class culture, telling stories of everyday life and personal experiences. Paul would go on to form The Style Council with Mick Talbot in 1983, where he felt he had more freedom to experiment with different musical styles and collaborations. He would then eventually launch a legendary solo career in 1991, with the Stanley Road album being the best-selling album of his entire career. His work influenced many of the emerging bands of the Britpop era and he featured as guest guitarist on, ‘Champagne Supernova,’ by Oasis. After an astonishing twenty eight studio albums and a staggering 75 hit singles, the big question will be which of them he chooses to showcase for Lincoln set list.
Joining Paul Weller as support is an artist of equally high stature, as early millennium, garage rock icon Miles Kane will also be taking to the stage at one of Lincoln's most iconic land marks. A huge night for a great city, with big names and even bigger sounds. If you've got a ticket... you're incredibly lucky!
